Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I have no statistics on police brutality against Asians immediately at hand but I’m confident someone has those numbers. That said, the extreme example of white privilege I cite here is only the tip of the iceberg of how white privilege operates in impacting all underrepresented populations. “Model minorities,” an awful and loaded concept used to make Asians virtually invisible in our society, may speak to why less are openly murdered by police, but the subtler forms of racism Asians face in the workplace and in our communities is well documented. The uptick of Covid based bigotry by whites against Asians clearly indicates the scale of white bigotry against Asians communities.
