I appreciate your goal of defining a more positive version of masculinity. But, while creating a healthy culture of masculinity is a very real and valid goal, redefining patriarchy as a positive thing is not possible.

The Oxford Dictionary defines patriarchy as "a system of society or government in which men hold the power and women are largely excluded from it."

There is no positive version of a system or structure the grants one identity group power over another. Patriarchy needs to be tossed out entirely. It can only do harm to men and all those whose lives we impact.
