If you are made uncomfortable by my article, feel free to self reflect about why it bothers you so much. But honestly, your need to stand up for your own reputation instead of joining the fight against the overwhelming upsurge of white nationalists and fundamentalist extremists currently undermining all we hold dear is a clear indication of the privilege and safety our skin color and age affords us.

Some folks don’t get to enjoy being several steps removed from the violence and brutality being dished out to non whites, LGBTQ people and immigrants. It’s a war and you, my friend, are picking the wrong thing to be outraged about. We’re not here to carefully tip toe around older white men’s fragile sensibilities, to make sure you’re feeling okay all the time. If you’re truly one of the good guys, then don’t be so quick to declare the ease with you’re ready to take your toys and go home. The world is a racist shit storm and it continued unabated on our watch.
