I’m the father of an 18-year-old son, and I have also been in men’s circles for over a decade. I can tell you that the conversations you have with your son will either save him or leave him at the mercy of the larger culture, and that my friend is on you.

The single greatest lack in boys lives is the opportunity to feel fully seen and heard by the men in their lives. As a father, you are there at the beginning, middle and end of the meaning that boy makes masculinity. I promise you, he needs your love. He needs you to listen, and he needs you to make space for who he is authentically. Do this, and he will never stop coming to you for the gift of your presence.
