Thanks for your comments here. I appreciate it. It's becoming clear to me that men will, in fact, not share our #MensAbortionHistories. Only two men have actually done so. That said, I chose my language on this very carefully. I intentionally didn't say "we decided," I said the choice was made to end the pregnancy and I supported that choice. I also am not speaking about this in terms of men's abortion stories but instead in terms of men's abortion histories, that is to say, a event connected directly to us that took place, not so much our interpretations of that event.

Men who remain silent about our role in making an abortion necessary do so in order to not create discomfort for ourselves. Maybe my approach isn't the right one. But at a time when women and non binary people's right to abortion as a basic healthcare right is under attack, I truly feel men should put something on the line.
