The problem we face in creating a more gender equal society is threaded right into the language you use in your response, Martin. For example, what about men who have taken time off for child rearing or is your view of parenting limited to gender stereotypical scenarios? And why is working a “grind” for men in the workplace but childcare equal to “time off” for women in the home? It’s all challenging work. It all leads to additional skills and capacities that make older employees more valuable.It all should result in equal pay. Women should not face penalties and men should not be harmed by policies that treat women fairly. Your argument insists someone will lose. And you are a man. And this is exactly the problem.
